Vocal Coach and Conductor

Gergana Velinova has more than 20 years of experience as a Vocal Coach, Choir Conductor, Vocal Workshops facilitator and Master Classes presenter. She is a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association and the BC Choral Federation. She has worked with students of all ages and levels; from a Teaching Artist for New York City's "Save The Music” Elementary School Programs to college students and adults. She holds a Master's Degree in Jazz and Classical-Contemporary Voice Performance from the Longy School of Music in Boston, Undergraduate Studies in jazz voice from the Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood and a Music Diploma in Classical Guitar from the National Music School in Sofia. 

From 2006 - 2013 Gergana was the Head-Vocal Jazz Instructor, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble Conductor at the Victoria Conservatory of Music in Canada, mentoring undergraduate students enrolled in the Camosun College  music program. 100% of Gergana's undergraduate voice and music therapy students who applied to Canada's leading BA of Music and Music Therapy programs, such as Capilano University, McGill University and Humber College were accepted into the programs of their choice. 

Currently she teaches voice at her private vocal studio in North Vancouver and is the new Vocal and Music Exploration Classes, Broadway and Music Theatre Instructor at the West Vancouver Communty Center. To learn further, explore the images below.
