An album of love songs featuring a team of exception musicians from Canada and the US: Miles Black - piano, artistic producer, Phil Dwyer - saxophone, Rene Worst - bass, Willard Dyson - drums with special guest Brad Turner on trumpet. Recorded live at the Armory Studio in Vancouver, Canada.
With The Thief, Gergana Velinova steps boldly into her voice as a composer, presenting a vibrant collection of contemporary jazz songs born from her original poetry. Blending witty, whimsical writing with complex rhythms, creative vocal arrangements, sensual bossa novas, and lyrical ballads, the album showcases both playfulness and depth.
Recorded in a single day with an all-star New York ensemble, it captures a raw, spontaneous energy. The album also features a 7/8 Bulgarian folk-inspired arrangement with members of the Victoria Symphony, and a heartfelt Portuguese tribute to Elis Regina. Produced by Misha Piatigorsky. Featuring Gergana Velinova - vocals, Misha Piatigorsky - piano, keys, melodica, Neil Swanson - bass, Gord Clements, saxophone, Willard Dyson - drums. Recorded at Joby Baker’s Studios, Victoria, BC, Canada.

Recorded live off the floor at the Powell River Academy of Music 2012.
Released April, 2012. 1. Haven't We Met. 2. Will You Look for Me In Heaven. Music and lyrics by Gergana Velinova. Gergana Velinova - vocals, Misha Piatigorksy - piano, Brad Turner - trumpet. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Bennett Paster at BP Wash & Dry Studio. Brooklyn, New York. 2012. All rights reserved. InhalExhale is Gergana's latest recording project; EP of two original songs featuring Gergana's long time musical colaborator pianist Misha Piatigorksy (Sketchy Black Dog) and one of Canada's most celebrated jazz musicians Brad Turner on trumpet. The two songs express polar sides of a romantic relationship, hence the title "InhalExhale." Haven't We Met was inspired by Erik Satie's Gymnopedie No.1. Will You Look for Me in Heaven is rather an ernest vocal "moan" complimented by a heart-felt trumpet solo by Brad Turner.
An album of entirely free compositions based on Gergana’s poems, recorded live in New York 2004. Gergana Velinova- vocals, Keith Ganz - guitar, Brian Mcworter - trumpet, Cornelius Dufallo - violin, Ravi Padmanabha - tabla.
