Softly - 2012
Produced by Paul Steenhuis (Simply Red) and Walter Martella, Softly is an album of jazz ballads performed in an intimate duet setting, interpreted brilliantly in a French Impressionistic style by Ana and Canadian pianist Walter Martella. This musical collaboration presents Ana's vocal artistry in a completely different light than her album The Thief. Softly aims to bring the audience back to the roots of classical art song. Recorded "live off the floor" at the Powell River Academy of Music, using a Steinway D concert grand piano, this album was produced with little or no editing. Walter Martella and Ana Velinova All Rights Reserved.
